Welcome to ATC Kids Club
How it Works
🖌 We have live virtual meetings where members are taught, challenged, and encouraged in their art. We use Zoom.
🔄 Every month, we host a swap event so kids can trade cards and build their own ATC collection.
This club is perfect for kids who love art, enjoy expressing themselves, and want to be part of a creative, encouraging community! 🌟
📌 Join us today and start trading tiny treasures!
Live Virtual Classes
🖌 Each week, we meet virtually for a short art lesson covering a new technique, doodle idea, or composition tip.
🎟 After the lesson, kids get 30 minutes of creative work time (cameras off, music on!) to make their own ATC based on the weekly challenge.
📇 At the end, we share our artwork and discuss our creative process!
Swaps
At the beginning of each month, we post the official swap theme and guidelines in the club. Kids will have the whole month to create their Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) and prepare them for exchange.
✉️ Mailing Deadline: All swaps must be mailed by the last day of the month to ensure everyone receives their cards in a timely manner.
📇 How It Works:
1️⃣ Check the swap details posted at the start of the month.
2️⃣ Create your ATCs based on the theme.
3️⃣ Package them securely and mail them by the deadline!
I will then take the cards that were made and swap them so everyone gets another artists card for every card they sent.
Swapping is a fun way to connect with fellow young artists, share creativity, and build a unique ATC collection! 🌟
Upcoming Live Meetings
Each Kids’ ATC Club meeting is designed to be fun, interactive, and full of creativity! Here’s how our sessions are structured:
🎨 15-20 Minutes – Live demonstration of a new technique, doodle idea, or composition tip.
🎟 5 Minutes – Introduction to the weekly challenge and creative prompt.
🖌 30 Minutes – Creative time! Cameras and mics off so everyone can focus on making their ATC.
📇 Sharing Session – Once the work period ends, we come back together, and everyone who wants to share gets a chance to present their card. There's no rush—we take as much time as needed so every artist feels valued!
Our goal is to keep things structured yet flexible, giving kids the freedom to create while ensuring everyone gets a chance to learn, connect, and share! 💛✨
This is a brand new club. As the club grows I will add days and times that will allow everyone to join live classes. Feel free to reach out and let me know what time/day you would prefer.
FAQs

Item An Artist Trading Card (ATC) is a miniature piece of artwork that typically measures 2.5 x 3.5 inches—the size of a standard playing card. These cards are created by artists (both young and old) to trade with others, making each card a unique creation that holds artistic expression, creativity, and personal style.
Key Features of ATCs:
Size: 2.5 x 3.5 inches (similar to playing cards)
Material: Cards can be made from old cereal boxes, watercolor paper or almost anything you can find around the house.
Medium: Any medium can be used, from drawing and painting to collage, mixed media, and even photography!
Trading: ATCs are meant to be traded, not sold. The main goal is to share art and connect with other artists.
Theme: Often created around a theme or challenge, which makes each set of cards unique and fun to collect.
Whether it’s a drawing of an animal, a surreal landscape, or an abstract design, each ATC is a mini masterpiece and a way for kids to express their creativity, swap ideas, and create a global art community!

No, the ATC Kids Club is for all kids 17 and under no matter where they live.
Because we’ll be doing monthly swaps, members living outside the US will be asked to send their swap cards by the 26th of the month instead of the last day to allow for the extra shipping time.
Other than that being a virtual club we can be world wide!

The technique portion of the class will be recorded and available in the member only site. You will also find the challenge information in the recording so you can work on that at your leisure.
I will offer classes at a variety of times as the group grows allowing all time zones to find something that will work for them.
-
NO, swaps are mailed directly to me and I am the only one with access to the mailing addresses.
-
Not right away, but once a member has attended 4 live meetings they are then eligible to begin direct trades with other members who have met the requirements.
This is to ensure only kids are doing the trading and therefore the sharing of personal addresses is more secure.
These are NOT required for the club.

There’s no such thing as “not good enough” in the Kids’ ATC Club! Every artist starts somewhere, and this club is all about having fun, learning new techniques, and expressing yourself.
🌟 ATCs aren’t about perfection—they’re about creativity! Whether you love to doodle, paint, collage, or try new styles, your unique touch makes each card special.
💡 The more you create, the more you grow as an artist! Every ATC you make is a step in your creative journey, and the best part is—other kids are excited to trade with YOU!
So don’t stress—just have fun, experiment, and enjoy making mini masterpieces to share! 💌✨
